Welcome to LaunchHype.com, the worlds first and only interactive release calendar. So you are probably curious as to exactly what LaunchHype is and can do. Well I am here for you. Back in 2010 Zach Reed and I (Adam Hendle) put together a site called ShirtLaunch.com. The aim of the site was to help promote upcoming indie clothing releases. ShirtLaunch allowed users to come to the site and vote for which releases they were most excited about. Each month the clothing line that got the most votes was featured on the front page of ShirtLaunch and received a small prize pack.

After launching the site we quickly realized that SL, needed to be more. We also realized we didn’t like the gaming aspect of the site. Instead of resulting in a positive and healthy competition it unfortunately turned into a negative aspect of the site. The project was scrapped after a few months with thoughts of reworking it into a better version.

As time tends to do, it flew by. The idea of LaunchHype was discussed off and on throughout the summer last year and the groundwork was laid but nothing really came to fruition. That was until early this year, when the man, the myth, the legend Zach Reed had the spark reignited to once again kick start LaunchHype. He went to work developing and coding the site from the ground up to what you see today.

So now that you know the story, what exactly is Launch Hype?

For Users:

LaunchHype helps users keep track of upcoming releases from their favorite brands, clothing lines, games and movies all in one convenient and interactive calendar. The result is never forgetting when something you want is released as LaunchHype will send you a reminder when that product is launches/releases.

To use LaunchHype simply create an account at www.launchhype.com/signup. From there you can click the Launches button and browse all upcoming releases across all four categories of the site or simply use the drop down to look at launches from one single category.

Now simply browse the thumbnails of launches until you see something your are interested in. From there you can either add the launch directly to your calendar by clicking the “rocket” icon or click “launch details” to either preview tracks, watch trailers or view sneak peeks from your favorite indie clothing lines or other companies. If you see something you like, simply click “hype” and that launch is then added to your calendar.

You can view your calendar anytime by simply clicking “My Calender” in the navigation bar. Here you will see a timeline for the current month. If you have “hyped” anything and added it to your calendar you will see that date highlighted on your timeline. You can then hover it and click launch details to check it out again, or simply forget about it and we will remind you the day of that release.

What is also awesome is you can click the people tab and you can see what your friends calendars look like and what they are hyped about for the upcoming month!

For Companies:

If your a band, clothing line, film or game studio you easily add your upcoming launch to LaunchHype.com by signing up for an account at www.launchhype.com/signup.  Once you have signed up for an account click Submit Launch. From there you can choose the category your launch falls into and follow the simple instructions and you will be added to the site baring approval.
